hand woven wool flowers 

Hand spun, dyed, and woven 
Handmade products for hearth and home
 

Flowers are made from wool from our South Down sheep.  The wool is dyed and spun by hand on a drop spindle.  The yarn is woven on a small 2" x 2" hand-held loom.  (Pictured in upper right corner.)
A flower can be pinned on a shirt collar, jacket lapel or used anyway you like.  The three pictures (left) show three different styles pinned to a collar. 
These flowers (below) are made on a 4"x4" loom.  Compare size with small flower in the center.  The larger flowers are fun to use on felt bags or decor on  a dresser or shelf. Each assembled flower and leaf are made from two to four woven squares. Small flowers below are pinned to felt bags.
